Hong Kong International Art Fair

For the next five days, Hong Kong will host many of the world’s leading art galleries at the inaugural Hong Kong International Art Fair. An art fair of a scale never seen before in the city, ART HK 08 will take place at the landmark Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 14 – 18, 2008.

Open to all, ART HK 08 is a new annual art fair that welcomes established art collectors, new buyers looking to own their first piece and those just wanting to immerse themselves in the best of the world’s 20th and 21st century art.

ART HK 08 will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The HKCEC is a renowned architectural landmark having been the backdrop for the ceremony of the handover of Hong Kong by the British to the People’s Republic of China in 1997.

The HKCEC is located centrally in the Wanchai district on the north side of Hong Kong Island, overlooking the world famous Victoria Harbour. The HKCEC is well served by public transport and has an array of restaurants and cafes both within the complex and within easy walking distance.
