Seattle Represented in Miami Art Fairs

This year nine of Seattle’s top contemporary art galleries will be participating in Miami art fairs. Miami is thousands of miles from Seattle, plus this is the world’s première contemporary art event. It’s a big deal that so many Seattle galleries there. Stop by and see what they're showing, and while you're there buy something.

Seattle, will also be represented in Art Basel Miami Beach. Michael Darling, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seattle Art Museum, has curated Thermostat / Video and the Pacific Northwest. This is a looped program showing daily in the Art Video Lounge of Art Basel. The selection of videos by artists with association with the Pacific Northwest calls attention to the rich history of media in this region that stretches from British Columbia to Northern California.

Galleries from Vancouver, BC and Portland, Oregon, will also be showing in Miami. Check back later for images and comments about the art fairs, galleries and artists.
